Euro Info Correspondence Center USA (EICC USA)

The EICC USA is part of a service network including over 300 Centers licensed by the European Commission in 38 countries throughout the European Union, Central and Eastern Europe, Mediterranean and Middle East regions. All these Euro Info Centers (EICs) or Euro Info Correspondence Centers (EICC) are linked through an intranet system allowing a permanent on-line contact between them.  In early 2005, the American Business Forum on Europe (ABFE) was designated the first and only EICC in North America.

The Mission

As the United States and the European Union have the strongest foreign investment and trade relationship in the world, our main objective is to provide U.S. businesses with information about business opportunities and business practices in Europe as well as to provide Europeans with information on U.S. business matters.

The Host

The American Business Forum on Europe  (ABFE) is the first and only host of the Euro Info Correspondence Center USA (EICC USA). It is able to draw on the resources of its sister company, the European-American Business Organization, Inc.,  a consulting business incorporated under the laws of the State of New York.  EICC USA will be operated under the supervision of the ABFE President Sven C. Oehme.  Tiia Henttonen is the Project Manager and Administrator of EICC USA.

The Service

The EICC USA provides practical information and assistance to small- and mid-size businesses in the US and enables foreign businesses to establish relations with US entrepreneurs through the EIC network. Additionally, the EICC USA provides access to business-related EU legal aspects and regulations information. We work together with other EICs on the development of new projects and activities to improve international cooperation between its clients and business communities.

If you represent a small- to medium-sized business entity, ABFE/ EICC USA can address your basic questions on European-American Business matters.  It is able to cull the expertise of the European-American Business Organization, Inc, and will provide up to one hour’s worth of research on your question free of charge.   If we cannot provide you with the full answer, we will at least inform you of where to obtain further information.

The American Business Forum on Europe welcomes you to take advantage of this free resource.

All inquiries to the EICC should be addressed to info@abfe.biz.
